Registered Nurse School Setting - Detroit, MI

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license with good standing
• Previous experience in a school setting or with the pediatric population preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and 504 plans a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solution-oriented

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
• Work with educators, counselors, and families to support students’ medical and emotional needs
• Implement infection control measures and promote a healthy school environment
• Lead staff training on topics such as allergy management and emergency protocols
