School Registered Nurse (RN) in Dorchester, MA

Put your nursing expertise to work supporting a vibrant preschool student in an enriching educational setting. A contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide specialized care and safe transportation for a young child attending school. This position is focused on ensuring the health and wellbeing of a 3-year-old with a tracheostomy and occasional ventilator needs while navigating a dynamic school environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current nursing licensure (RN or LPN) in Massachusetts is required
• Prior school-based nursing experience is essential
• Ability to complete and pass both the CORI and fingerprinting background checks
• Experience supporting medically complex children preferred
• Commitment to providing skilled, compassionate care
• Not open to CNAs or medical assistants

Position Details:

• Part-time contract (Mondays and Fridays only)
• Start as soon as possible, extending through June 30, 2026
• One-on-one care provided onsite at a preschool, with responsibility to accompany the student on a van before and after school hours
• The student is ambulatory, active, and requires attentive medical oversight during transportation and at school
• Summer work is available, and contract renewal for the following school year will be offered
