1:1 Certified School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Easley, South Carolina

This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a high school setting with a strong focus on one-on-one support. The role involves working closely with a cognitively high-functioning student who is paralyzed, requiring skilled care and compassion throughout the school week, except Wednesdays. The nurse will work 30 hours per week and assist with daily health needs while accompanying the student on the bus, ensuring safe transportation to and from school.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct one-on-one nursing care to a high school student with significant physical needs.
• Managing ventilator support and other complex medical equipment.
• Monitoring and documenting student health status throughout the school day.
• Assisting with medication administration and emergency medical interventions as necessary.
• Collaborating with school personnel, family members, and healthcare providers to support the student’s well-being.
• Safely accompanying the student during bus transportation.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Current RN certification and license preferred; LPNs with ventilator experience will be considered.
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric nursing environment is a plus.
• Ability to provide skilled nursing care to a student with paralysis and complex medical needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work 30 hours per week with Wednesdays off.
