Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse license (required)
• Proficient in delivering nursing care to children aged 3-18 within a school setting
• Solid understanding of state-mandated health requirements for youth in schools
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or related clinical settings is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, addressing both routine and emergent health needs throughout the school day
• Conduct routine health screenings, such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis checks
• Administer prescribed medications and provide first aid as required
• Maintain accurate health records and prepare reports according to legal standards
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to promote overall student wellness
• Educate students and staff on health topics relevant to the school community
