School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - East Providence, Rhode Island

Work closely with one student, offering expert medical attention while collaborating with school staff and families.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state
• Prior experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or 1:1 student support preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of seizure care protocols and emergency response
• Adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a caring, patient manner

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a student during scheduled school hours (Wednesdays and Fridays, 7:30am – 2:00pm)
• Monitor and assist the student within the classroom, during community outings, and at work activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Remain vigilant for changes in the student's health status and respond swiftly in the event of a seizure or medical emergency, following established protocols
• Collaborate with school teams to support the student’s inclusion and participation in all activities
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with caregivers and educational staff
