A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available to support students with specialized medical needs in a school setting located in Easton, MD. This role is unique in that the RN will provide both transportation and in-school care for students requiring full-time nursing support. The position involves riding the bus with a student to and from home to school, ensuring their safety and health throughout the day, as well as providing nursing care to another student within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with medical needs during the school day
- Accompany a student on the bus to and from school, managing their care en route
- Monitor and assess the students’ conditions, responding to medical needs promptly
- Communicate with school staff and families to update on student health status
- Maintain accurate health records in compliance with regulatory and school policies
Qualifications:
- Current Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license is required
- Experience providing nursing care to pediatric or adolescent populations preferred
- Ability to manage care during transportation and in a school environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with school personnel and families
- Commitment to supporting students’ health and educational goals safely and effectively
