Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric clinical settings preferred
- Familiarity with common childhood illnesses, medical conditions, and emergency protocols
- Strong organizational, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a proactive member of a multidisciplinary team
- CPR and first aid certification required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care for students with acute or chronic health needs
- Administer medications and provide medical treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and mandatory reporting
- Respond to health emergencies and coordinate care with parents and healthcare providers
- Educate students, families, and staff regarding health issues and wellness practices
- Support the school in developing and implementing individual health and emergency action plans
- Promote an inclusive and supportive environment for all students
