Registered Nurse School Setting in Edison, NJ

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric clinical settings preferred
• Familiarity with common childhood illnesses, medical conditions, and emergency protocols
• Strong organizational, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a proactive member of a multidisciplinary team
• CPR and first aid certification required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care for students with acute or chronic health needs
• Administer medications and provide medical treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and mandatory reporting
• Respond to health emergencies and coordinate care with parents and healthcare providers
• Educate students, families, and staff regarding health issues and wellness practices
• Support the school in developing and implementing individual health and emergency action plans
• Promote an inclusive and supportive environment for all students
