Registered Nurse School Setting in Edison, NJ

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff as a credentialed Registered Nurse at a vibrant school district near Edison, NJ. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety of the school community, with a position that fits well for experienced professionals seeking a part-time assignment this summer. Multiple openings are available, with both day and night schedules to accommodate diverse availability.

What we’re looking for:

• Active NJ School Nurse licensure and required certifications
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based nursing role (clinical-only backgrounds will not be considered)
• Ability to provide district-wide coverage, serving entire school communities
• Availability for 20 hours/week, July 1–July 31, 2026
• Flexibility for one of the following shifts: 8:30AM–12:30PM (4 openings) or night school (hours TBD, 1 opening)
• Immediate readiness for onboarding, including fingerprinting and TB/physical clearance for both agency and district (asap assignment)
• Commitment to working onsite; all roles are in-person and cannot be fulfilled remotely
• Willingness to participate in an interview (in-person or via Zoom)

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver general and emergency nursing care to students and staff across assigned buildings
• Collaborate with educators and administrators to promote a healthy environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district health policies
• Provide support for school-wide health initiatives and screenings
• Ensure proper communication with families and district personnel regarding student health needs
