School Registered Nurse (RN) in Edison, NJ

This contract opportunity is full-time (30-32 hours per week), onsite, and extends from ASAP through June 22, 2026, with continued need for the following academic year. Your workday aligns with school hours, providing a balanced schedule from 8:45am to 2pm.

As a dedicated nursing professional, you will make a meaningful impact by providing one-on-one support to a male 7th grade student. Bus riding is a required aspect of this role, ensuring the student’s safety and well-being to and from school and activities.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active licensure as an RN or LPN/LVN, with experience in a school environment preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in asthma management and emergency care
• Proficient in g-tube feedings, catheter use, toileting assistance, and diapering
• Direct experience providing care for students with seizure disorders
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills suited for pediatric care

Role Responsibilities:

• Ride the bus with the student to monitor and address medical needs during transit
• Deliver individualized care, including asthma treatments, g-tube feedings, and seizure support
• Assist with toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene
• Maintain clear documentation of care provided and health changes
• Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and healthcare providers
