Registered Nurse School Setting - Edison, NJ

From September 2026 to June 2026, you’ll provide dedicated care and support to students in a Preschool, Elementary, or Middle School health room environment. This contracted opportunity is ideal for skilled Registered Nurses who value autonomy, thrive in a school-based setting, and are ready to be the primary healthcare professional on campus. Two full-time positions are available, working Monday through Friday for 32.5 hours per week.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid New Jersey RN or CSN license (required)
• Experience in a school nursing capacity is highly preferred
• Familiarity with the Genesis charting system is a distinct advantage
• Confidence and flexibility to operate as the sole nurse in the building, while collaborating with an advisory team as needed
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to effectively support children’s physical and emotional well-being across diverse age groups

Key responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive health care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation using Genesis or similar systems
• Monitor communicable diseases and foster a healthy school environment
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to promote student safety
• Deliver health education and guidance to students and staff as appropriate
