Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric care
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Familiarity with IEPs and state health regulations (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care, including managing injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Support the implementation of health plans and IEP accommodations
• Monitor immunizations and maintain detailed health records
• Educate students and staff on health promotion and disease prevention
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents regarding student health needs
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with outside health providers as needed
• Participate in school health screenings and safety drills
