School Registered Nurse (RN) in Edison, NJ

As a Registered Nurse with experience in school health, you'll work 35 hours per week from 8:15AM to 3:15PM, helping to create a safe and supportive environment for learners of all ages.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and valid NJ School Nursing RN license required
• Prior school-based nursing experience is essential
• Proficiency in overseeing multiple school buildings and managing diverse caseloads
• Comfortable adapting to district guidelines and policies
• Willingness to complete onboarding requirements including TB screening, physical examination, and fingerprint clearances
• Reliable transportation and close proximity for commuting are a must
• LPNs will not be considered for this position

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive health services and emergency care to students and staff district-wide
• Monitor and manage the health of student caseloads, addressing acute and chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
• Collaborate with educators and families to promote a healthy school environment
• Oversee and coordinate health protocols across entire school buildings
• Participate actively in school safety planning and response
