We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or credentialed School Nurse (CSN) for a contract assignment supporting multiple school sites throughout the district for the 2026/2027 academic year. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a key resource, providing district-wide support and specialized health expertise for students and staff alike.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Clear California School Nurse Services Credential (CSN) preferred; preliminary CSN or RN applicants welcome to apply
• Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of diabetes management and development of Individual Health Plans (IHPs)
• Excellent communication and training skills to effectively mentor and support health clerks

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver district-wide nursing coverage, traveling between multiple school locations
• Train and provide ongoing support to health clerks on a variety of student medical needs, including specific chronic conditions and IHP implementation
• Review student health documentation and offer expert medical consultation
• Assist with immediate and ongoing student care as required to ensure a safe, supportive school environment
• Collaborate with district staff, families, and community healthcare providers

This position offers a guaranteed 4-month assignment, with a preferred shift of 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (and the potential for increased hours up to 37.5–40 per week, as needed).
