This full-time, school-year contract role offers an exciting opportunity to support student wellness, promote best practices, and collaborate closely with both educators and healthcare professionals.

In this pivotal role, you’ll manage nursing operations across four buildings—each staffed with its own RN—serving as a key resource and leader for health initiatives in the district. Your expertise as a Certified School Nurse will guide the delivery of quality care and health education, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

What you’ll bring:

• Current Illinois RN and Certified School Nurse (CSN) credentials
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with nurses, families, and school teams
• Expertise in student health needs, special education processes, and best nursing practices
• Organizational skills for managing priorities across multiple sites

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Serve as a clinical leader for site-based RNs, offering support and guidance as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing medical insight to multidisciplinary teams
• Complete medical reviews for student health plans, including initials and reevaluations
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policy for student health services
• Foster ongoing professional development and training for building RNs
