School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Elizabeth, New Jersey

What you'll bring:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification (required)
• Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and respond to health emergencies
• Compassionate and student-centered approach

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, addressing injuries, illnesses, and chronic health needs
• Administer medications and perform health procedures in accordance with physician orders and district policy
• Develop and maintain individualized health plans for students with specific medical needs
• Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
• Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics
• Serve as a resource to the school community regarding communicable diseases and health protocols
