School Registered Nurse (RN) in Elizabeth, NJ

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students’ health and well-being in a school environment near Elizabeth, NJ. An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to cover for a current RN on vacation. This short-term, in-person assignment runs from October 1st through October 10th, 2026, with the work schedule to be confirmed.

In this role, you’ll provide attentive, one-on-one care for a medically fragile student, including G-tube management. The assignment also requires bus riding duties from approximately 8:00–8:15 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Your expertise will help ensure the student’s safety and comfort throughout both the school day and their transportation to and from campus.

Key Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey RN license.
• School nursing experience is preferred, especially with medically fragile children.
• Previous experience managing G-tube care strongly desired.
• Ability to fulfill in-person duties; virtual assignments are not available.
• Commitment to the assignment dates and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care for a medically fragile student.
• Monitor health status and respond appropriately to student needs during school hours and bus transport.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with school staff and parents.
• Adhere to all school policies and state regulations for student health and safety.
