School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Elk Grove, California

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license in California
• Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Solid clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Adaptable, proactive, and able to address multiple health needs throughout the day

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, triage, and care for student illnesses and injuries in accordance with best practices and state guidelines
• Administer medications and implement individualized healthcare plans as directed by physicians and parents
• Manage medical emergencies and collaborate with first responders as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to support students with special healthcare requirements
• Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and wellness initiatives
• Maintain accurate health records, immunization documentation, and compliance with all regulatory standards
