Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license in California
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Solid clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to address multiple health needs throughout the day
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and care for student illnesses and injuries in accordance with best practices and state guidelines
- Administer medications and implement individualized healthcare plans as directed by physicians and parents
- Manage medical emergencies and collaborate with first responders as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to support students with special healthcare requirements
- Educate students and staff on health practices, hygiene, and wellness initiatives
- Maintain accurate health records, immunization documentation, and compliance with all regulatory standards
