Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Proven experience as a school nurse or in a school-based healthcare role
• Familiarity with legal nursing practices and documentation
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment abilities
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage confidential health information with discretion and professionalism

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, handling routine and emergency health needs
• Support students with chronic conditions, medication administration, and health plans
• Conduct health screenings and maintain meticulous health records
• Liaise with educators, families, and outside medical providers as needed
• Ensure compliance with all health codes, legal guidelines, and district policies
• Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable clinical insight
