Registered Nurse School Setting in Elmira, NY

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted New York LPN or RN license
• Current experience in school nursing or pediatric care is preferred
• Skilled in administering medication, tube feedings, and nebulizer treatments
• Comfortable working 1:1 with medically fragile children or as a program nurse in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care for students with specialized medical needs, including medication management and tube feeding
• Deliver ongoing support to classrooms serving multiple children with disabilities, performing treatments as needed
• Observe and assess student health, promptly responding to emergencies or changes in condition
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate effectively with educational staff and families
• Ensure all nursing interventions align with established care plans and regulatory guidelines
• Flexibly adapt to the summer schedule and specific site requirements
