Certified 1:1 School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Make a meaningful impact supporting a student’s health and educational experience as a contract Registered Nurse in a dynamic school setting. You will serve as a dedicated 1:1 nurse for a student requiring tube feeding and suctioning, providing essential clinical care with compassion and professionalism. Instead of riding the bus, you’ll focus on supporting the student during classroom hours. When the student is absent, your skills will be utilized as additional nursing support throughout the school building.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license and all required certifications to work in a school environment
• Prior experience with tracheostomy care, suctioning, and tube feeding strongly preferred
• Background working with children or in pediatric settings, especially in school environments
• Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency medical situations
• Professional communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability to provide coverage for school health services as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide vigilant 1:1 care for a student requiring suctioning and tube feeding during classroom time
• Collaborate with the classroom team and another nurse who provides transport support
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any notable health observations
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and hygienic environment for the student
• Act as a resource for health-related concerns, offering support to staff and students across the building if the primary student is absent
• Adhere to all school policies and state regulations for student care
