Key Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Previous school RN experience is required
• Familiarity with the unique demands of K-8 education settings
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary educational team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing services, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic disease management for students and staff
• Implement and oversee health protocols, including screenings and immunization compliance
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to create individual health plans
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records
• Respond calmly and effectively to health emergencies, ensuring student safety at all times
