Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
  • CPR/BLS certification (current)
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Organized, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children and adolescents

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students and staff
  • Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergies)
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Serve as a resource for health education and health-related questions from staff, students, and families
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and community healthcare providers
  • Respond to health emergencies with professionalism and care
  • Promote a healthy school environment by monitoring communicable diseases and implementing prevention strategies
