Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or community-based nursing setting preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to medical emergencies
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team
- CPR and First Aid certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer direct nursing care and manage chronic and acute health conditions for students
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with regulations
- Educate students, families, and staff regarding health and wellness topics as needed
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop and implement health care plans
- Provide emergency care and medication administration per protocol
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 meetings, as necessary
