Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain)
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Organized, adaptable, and passionate about supporting children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students and staff
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, allergies)
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Serve as a resource for health education and health-related questions from staff, students, and families
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and community healthcare providers
- Respond to health emergencies with professionalism and care
- Promote a healthy school environment by monitoring communicable diseases and implementing prevention strategies
