School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Fairport, New York

A local educational program is seeking an experienced School RN to supervise on-the-job learning for students enrolled in Nurse Assisting (Nurse Aide) courses. This is a contract position with shifts scheduled as needed, typically from 8–10 am and 12–2 pm, offering a great way to earn supplemental hours while making a difference.

In this role, you will:

• Guide and supervise students in real-world clinical environments (8:1 ratio)
• Play a key part in developing meaningful, valid clinical experiences
• Assist in scheduling clinical instruction for trainees
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate and optimize clinical learning
• Communicate with agency personnel about clinical matters
• Monitor and evaluate students’ skill development and professional progress
• Perform additional duties requested by the Nurse Aide teacher

Desired qualifications include:

• Active New York State RN license, in good standing
• Eligibility for the Civil Service School Nurse title
• Recent experience in long-term care or nursing home settings
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working with high school learners in a career-focused program
