School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Federal Way, Washington

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Washington state RN or LPN/LVN license
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or relevant nursing setting preferred
• Proficient in care for students with tracheostomies, g-tubes, and ventilators
• Skilled in seizure response and diabetic care management
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents
• Flexibility and adaptability working with elementary and/or middle school age groups
• Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and student well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and daily health monitoring
• Support students with complex medical needs such as trach, g-tube, and ventilator care
• Respond effectively to health emergencies, including seizures and diabetic events
• Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement student health plans
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health conditions and safe practices
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date health and treatment records
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and caring school environment for all students
