School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Fenton, Missouri

Step into a rewarding part-time contract role providing dedicated care to a young student in an early childhood setting. This position focuses on supporting an individual student during the PM session at an Early Childhood Center, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout their day. The role is structured around the afternoon class schedule (drop-off between 12:00-12:10, session time from 12:05-3:15), with additional contracted time that may include riding the student's bus route to and from school.

Your expertise as a Registered Nurse will be instrumental in monitoring and meeting the medical needs of a child with complex care requirements, including epilepsy, global developmental delays, hypotonia (with associated slow transit constipation and dysphagia requiring thickened liquids), neuromuscular scoliosis, intermittent esotropia, and a genetic variant of unknown significance.

What we're seeking:

• Valid Missouri RN license, in good standing
• Experience or interest in pediatric or school nursing
• Ability to work part-time afternoons
• Comfort administering emergency interventions (seizure support, choking prevention, respiratory monitoring)
• Flexibility to assist during school transport as necessary
• Strong communication skills with students, families, and school staff
• Capacity for accurate medication administration and care documentation

Responsibilities include:

• Providing continuous 1:1 health monitoring and support
• Administering medications and responding promptly to medical needs
• Supporting feeding protocols, including thickened liquids
• Monitoring for seizure activity and responding appropriately
• Assisting the student safely during transitions and transport
• Communicating effectively with parents and educational teams
