This is a contract position requiring a Licensed School Nurse to step in from mid-November through mid-March, offering an essential presence during the winter months. Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, with LSN credentials preferred.
• Previous experience working as a School Nurse or in a school health environment.
• Strong skills in student assessment, care planning, and health education.
• Confidence in managing chronic and acute health conditions among children and adolescents.
• Excellent organizational abilities and clear, compassionate communication style.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with educators, and respond calmly to emergencies.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with specific medical needs.
• Maintain accurate student health records, adhering to all privacy and legal requirements.
• Serve as a resource to school staff, students, and families on health-related topics.
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed and coordinate care with outside providers when appropriate.
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment through proactive health education and prevention strategies.
