School Registered Nurse | Framingham, Massachusetts

Step into an essential role providing outstanding care as a General School Nurse, supporting a vibrant elementary school community of 540 children in Pre-K through 3rd grade. This contract opportunity spans from ASAP through December 1, 2026, with a steady Monday–Friday schedule, 8:15am to 3:15pm, totaling 35 hours a week.

Your clinical expertise will be crucial in fostering a safe, healthy learning environment, assisting young students and working alongside dedicated school professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license required (Massachusetts).
• Demonstrated experience managing tube feeding, catheterizations, and diabetic care.
• Pediatric experience and/or previous experience in a school nursing setting is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
• Compassionate, adaptable, and able to respond quickly in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day nursing care, first aid, and health education to students and staff.
• Support students with chronic medical conditions, including diabetes management, tube feeding, and catheter care.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate, confidential health records.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop and implement health plans for students.
• Participate in health screenings and promote wellness initiatives throughout the school.
• Respond effectively to illness and injury, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Stay current with professional best practices and legal requirements for school health services.
