School Registered Nurse | Frankfort, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact supporting students throughout the 2026/2027 school year as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in a dynamic school setting near Frankfort, IL. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to serve as the district’s sole CSN, while collaborating closely with a dedicated team of RNs who provide ongoing support. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator’s License with Certified School Nurse Endorsement (Required)
• Current RN license in Illinois
• Experience in conducting vision and hearing screenings
• Strong background in creating, reviewing, and updating IEPs and individualized health plans
• Commitment to professional standards and student-centered care
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead district-wide vision and hearing screenings and accurately document outcomes
• Serve as the primary resource for health-related IEP/health plan updates and case management
• Provide health assessments, promote healthy practices, and deliver direct care to students as needed
• Collaborate with families, educators, and administrative staff to coordinate care and advocate for students’ needs
• Maintain meticulous health records in compliance with state and district regulations
• Participate in school health initiatives, safety protocols, and wellness education
