A K-12 school in Fresno, CA is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse with experience in school nursing to provide temporary coverage. This is a contract position supporting the upcoming absence of the current RN and assisting with Initial IEPs at the preschool level. The role offers an opportunity to impact student health and well-being within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide RN coverage for illness or leave, ensuring continuity of school nursing services
- Support Initial Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for preschool students
- Administer basic nursing care, conduct health screenings, and maintain accurate student health records
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and academic success
- Adhere to California School Nurse Services Credential standards and school policies
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Valid California School Nurse Services Credential (required)
- Experience working as a school nurse, preferably in K-12 settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and preschool health requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff
Location: Fresno, CA (onsite)
Contract Duration: Immediate start through 12/19/2025, with possibility to extend into spring semester
Hours: Approximately 16 hours per week, ideally two full days for the remainder of the semester
