As a Registered Nurse, your expertise will be vital in providing catheterization services each day. You'll work in a supportive educational environment alongside an instructional aid, allowing you to focus on the student's medical needs while academic support is provided.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience with catheterization required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Compassionate attitude toward students with medical needs
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Arrive prepared for on-site care during scheduled hours: 9:00am to 1:10pm
- Administer catheterization to the student each day at approximately 12:45pm
- Document care and communicate clearly with school staff and parents, as needed
- Work collaboratively with an instructional aid who supports the student's academic progress
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for the student at all times
- Adhere to all school and nursing protocols
