Registered Nurse School Setting in Gilbert, AZ

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a compassionate and detail-oriented RN with experience in school settings. This unique position requires dedicated support for a student requiring nursing care throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and excellent communication abilities to foster a positive and safe environment for the student.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Arizona.
• Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
• Compassionate demeanor and commitment to providing individualized care.
• Excellent time management and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and transportation personnel.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Arrive at the student’s residence in San Tan Valley (zip code 85140) each morning by 7:30 a.m.
• Accompany the student on the bus to school, ensuring safety and attentive care during transport.
• Remain with the student throughout the entire school day, providing ongoing nursing support as needed.
• Ride the school bus with the student home at the end of the school day; typical drop-off around 3:15 p.m., except Wednesdays with early dismissal (drop-off at approximately 1:35 p.m.).
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and coordinate care plans with school and family.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate a positive learning environment for the student.
