School Registered Nurse | Gilroy, California

Make a meaningful impact in education as a credentialed school nurse supporting students across a variety of school environments. This is a contract opportunity for an experienced RN with a current CTC School Nurse Credential and an audiometry certificate. You'll provide essential health services to preschool and elementary-aged children throughout the academic year, traveling between several rural schools in the San Benito area and partnering districts.

What you'll bring:

• Current California RN license and CTC School Nurse Credential (CSN required)
• Audiometry certificate, with experience performing hearing and vision screenings
• Previous work in school nursing, particularly with pre-K students, is highly desirable
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
• Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to providing care in diverse educational settings
• Able to travel between multiple sites within the school week

What you'll do:

• Deliver school nursing services and promote student wellness for preschool and elementary populations
• Administer vision and hearing screenings per state and local guidelines
• Manage health plans for students with chronic conditions, supporting IEP and 504 teams
• Respond to student injuries, illnesses, and medication needs during the school day
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents, offering training and health guidance as needed
• Serve as a resource on health matters for the school community
