Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in Washington state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or community nursing environment preferred
- Thorough understanding of care management for acute and chronic conditions in children and adolescents
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond effectively in urgent situations and maintain confidentiality
- CPR/BLS certification (current and valid)
- Experience developing Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, emergency response, and first aid for students and staff
- Conduct health screenings, monitor immunization status, and coordinate referrals to healthcare providers
- Support students with chronic health conditions, creating care plans and participating in IEP/504 meetings as needed
- Educate students and staff on wellness, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records and documentation
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and public health officials to promote a healthy learning environment
