To excel in this opportunity, you should have:
- An active RN license in Washington (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage health plans, emergency situations, and medication administration
- Dedication to confidentiality, professionalism, and compassionate care
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary education teams
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivering daily nursing care, first aid, and health interventions for students
- Developing and implementing individualized health plans (IHPs) and emergency protocols
- Conducting health screenings and maintaining accurate, confidential medical records
- Educating students, staff, and families on health topics as needed
- Responding to urgent medical situations and coordinating care
- Supporting compliance with state and federal health regulations within the school environment
