Elementary High School School Registered Nurse (RN) in Greenville, SC

A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed to offer 1:1 care and classroom assistance for a small group of students with significant medical needs, ages 3–15. This contract position involves working closely with both elementary, middle, and high school-aged children, many of whom use wheelchairs and require specialized attention.

Responsibilities include overseeing the health and safety of seven students in a classroom environment, monitoring and administering care as needed, and collaborating with educational staff to ensure the individualized health needs of each student are met throughout the school day. Ventilator management and routine clinical assessment will be essential parts of your daily role.

Required qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Experience with 1:1 nursing care, especially in school or pediatric settings
• Strong background in ventilator care and monitoring
• Comfort working with non-ambulatory children and managing medical equipment (wheelchairs, feeding tubes, etc.)
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with students, teachers, and parents

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students ages 3–15, primarily in a classroom of seven children
• Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and respond to medical emergencies
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Support students in accessing classroom activities safely and comfortably
• Communicate student health updates and concerns with staff and families
