Qualifications & Desired Skills:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Previous experience in school nursing or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
• In-depth knowledge of nursing best practices, emergency medical procedures, and chronic disease management
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine health screenings, immunization compliance checks, and manage medication administration
• Provide direct care for student illness, injuries, and chronic conditions as needed during the school day
• Develop and update individualized student health care plans in collaboration with parents, staff, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Serve as a resource for health education, wellness promotion, and disease prevention within the school community
• Respond swiftly and effectively to any on-campus health emergencies
