Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active RN license (Mississippi or compact state)
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting is preferred
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities
• Confident communication skills for interactions with students, parents, and staff
• Familiarity with IEP/504 plans and medication administration (preferred)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care for students with acute or chronic health needs
• Monitor and respond to health-related emergencies or injuries on campus
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized health plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records
• Administer medications and conduct mandated health screenings
• Promote healthy habits and provide education to students and staff
• Support the development of a positive, inclusive school community
