School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Gurnee, Illinois

Hours run Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, offering stability and balance to your workweek.

You’ll be the key point of care and support for students requiring nursing services, including those with complex needs, while collaborating with dedicated educators and staff. Your commitment to student health and educational success will make a lasting impact.

Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Active RN licensure in Illinois
• Experience working with children or in schools, especially with special education populations
• Solid clinical skills in medication administration, emergency care, and individualized health planning
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Flexibility, compassion, and strong organizational abilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing services to students, both routine and emergency care as needed
• Collaborate with educators and support staff on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support students with health plans, medication needs, and chronic conditions
• Maintain accurate medical records and reporting in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive school environment
