Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid, active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York
• Proven ability to provide nursing care to children and teens, ages 3-18, within a school environment
• Solid understanding of state-mandated health requirements for school-aged youth
• Experience performing routine health screenings and tests
• Commitment to maintaining accurate and confidential health records
• Strong communication and organizational skills to support students, families, and staff

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate nursing care for students, from minor injuries to chronic health conditions
• Conduct required health screenings, such as vision, hearing, and scoliosis tests
• Monitor and document student health status and progress, maintaining precise medical records per state and district protocols
• Liaise with faculty, parents, and healthcare providers to support student wellness plans
• Respond promptly and effectively to health-related emergencies during school hours
• Educate students and staff about healthy lifestyle choices and illness prevention
