Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted Connecticut RN license required
  • Prior experience working as a school nurse or with school-aged children
  • Proficiency and direct experience managing g-tube care (required)
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily healthcare services to middle school students during summer programming
  • Administer medications and treatments, including g-tube feedings
  • Respond quickly and effectively to health emergencies and routine care needs
  • Maintain accurate health records and medication logs
  • Educate students and staff on health matters, infection control, and safety protocols
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding students’ needs or concerns
