Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Prior experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is essential
• Previous school nursing or pediatric experience preferred, especially in a 1:1 capacity
• Comfortable riding the bus to and from school to support the student’s medical needs throughout the commute
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision from the school nurse during the school day
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care and monitoring for a medically fragile high school student throughout the school day and during transportation
• Perform all necessary medical procedures, including trach and vent management, medication administration, and emergency interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and the student’s health status
• Partner with teachers, school staff, and family members to ensure a safe, positive learning environment for the student
• Serve as a reliable resource and advocate for the student’s health and well-being on campus and during transport
