School Registered Nurse (RN) in Henrico, VA

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Virginia (or compact state if applicable)
• Previous experience in pediatric, school nursing, or community health preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking abilities
• Proficient documentation and organizational skills
• Ability to respond to medical emergencies and manage daily healthcare needs
• Up-to-date CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students with chronic conditions, acute illnesses, or injuries
• Implement care plans and deliver medications/treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate observations with guardians and staff
• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and wellness topics
• Support individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and 504/IEP meetings as needed
• Collaborate with school teams to promote a safe, healthy environment for all students
