A K-12 school in Hopkins, MN, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive healthcare services for students and staff throughout the contract school year. This role is vital for promoting wellness, managing chronic conditions, and responding to medical emergencies within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for students and staff
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health
- Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
- Comply with state and local health regulations and school policies
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Minnesota
- Experience working within a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood illnesses, chronic condition management, and emergency care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- CPR and First Aid certification
