Registered Nurse School Setting - Hopkins, MN

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of students in a K-12 school setting. This contract role, based in Hopkins, MN, offers the chance to provide essential nursing care and health education throughout the school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and perform routine health screenings
• Develop individualized healthcare plans and maintain accurate health records
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to address student health needs
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and facilitate appropriate interventions
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives among students and staff

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
• Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school environment
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues, immunizations, and school health policies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to remain calm and take initiative in emergency situations
