Registered Nurse School Setting - Hopkins, MN

Step into a dynamic charter school environment serving approximately 600 students, where your expertise in school nursing makes a daily impact. This full-time, onsite contract position is ideal for a Licensed School Nurse (LSN) or a Registered Nurse (RN) with prior experience in school health settings. As a vital member of the educational community, you’ll play a key role in promoting student wellness and supporting both staff and families.

Qualifications:

• Licensed School Nurse (LSN) credential, or RN with experience in a school health room or equivalent setting
• Current state RN/LSN license in good standing
• Background in school-based nursing, ideally with special education experience
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently
• Compassionate communication style with children, families, and staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct hearing and vision screenings onsite as needed
• Develop and monitor Individualized Health Plans (IHPs), collaborating closely with the Health Aide
• Coordinate setup and administration of student medications with the Health Aide
• Perform health interviews, review student records, and write narrative summaries for special education evaluations
• Provide staff training in accordance with IHPs, student medical needs, and general wellness practices
• Serve as a resource for staff and families, guiding them on student health and wellness needs
