School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Horseheads, New York

This role offers the chance to provide essential care and foster a safe, inclusive environment for medically fragile and special needs students. Both LPN and RN professionals are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Active NY State license as an RN or LPN
• Previous school nursing experience preferred, particularly in K-12 or special education settings
• Skilled in administering tube feedings, medication, and nebulizer treatments
• Experience working 1:1 with medically fragile students or in classrooms serving multiple disabled students
• Strong communication abilities and adaptability in a school environment
• Dedication to compassionate, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care, including tube feeds and medication administration, to assigned students
• Support students with complex medical needs within classroom and individual settings
• Monitor student health status and respond promptly to emergencies or changes
• Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate student health records in accordance with state and school guidelines
