Registered Nurse School Setting - Jackson, GA

Make a difference every day as a Registered Nurse working 1:1 with a medically fragile student. This rewarding contract opportunity spans the school year and is vital in supporting the health and well-being of a wheelchair-bound child with complex needs. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to ensure comprehensive, compassionate care in the school environment.

Your expertise will be key in providing skilled medical support including managing a feeding tube, administering oxygen, and performing routine catheterizations. As a vital presence on campus, you’ll be entrusted to respond to emergency medical situations while fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for the student.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Specialized experience in pediatric, school, or community nursing preferred
• Comfort with gastrostomy feeding, oxygen therapy, catheterization, and physical lifting/assistance
• Clear record of reliability and professional commitment, with previous school-based or similar 1:1 care highly valued
• Ability to work onsite for the full contract period (no virtual work permitted)
• Willingness to participate in a face-to-face interview as required

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver daily nursing care to a student with diagnoses including spina bifida, hydrocephalus, and mobility challenges
• Monitor health status, alert staff and family to changes, and implement care plans
• Ensure equipment is operational and provide support during school activities and transport
• Advocate for student safety, privacy, and inclusion within the school community
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of health interventions
