School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Jersey City, New Jersey

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in school nursing to support an elementary school setting in Jersey City, NJ. This position is ideal for a compassionate healthcare professional dedicated to promoting student health and wellness throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to address student health concerns
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies
• Promote a healthy school environment through education and preventive care initiatives

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with school nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school health requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, parents, and educators
• Ability to manage multiple health cases and prioritize care efficiently
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
