A full-time, contract position is available for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) in an elementary school located in Jersey City, NJ. This role involves providing essential healthcare services to support the well-being of students throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver basic medical care including first aid and emergency response to students and staff.
  • Manage chronic health conditions and administer prescribed medications.
  • Conduct health assessments and screenings such as vision and hearing tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with specific health needs.
  • Serve as a liaison among school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with state regulations and school policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active School Nurse License/Certification in New Jersey.
  • Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Proficient in handling medical emergencies with composure and efficiency.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and organized professional.
