Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Solid assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and emergency procedures
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff, students, and families
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide daily health care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and management of acute and chronic health issues
- Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.), and maintain accurate health records
- Develop and implement individualized health care plans in partnership with families and educational staff
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis interventions as needed
- Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and wellness topics to promote healthy lifestyles
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community resources to support student health
