Step into a rewarding contract position supporting a 7th-grade student as a school nurse in a dynamic educational setting near Jersey City, NJ. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs through June 22, 2026, with anticipated need for the following school year as well. Your day would follow the regular school schedule: 8:45am to 2:00pm, offering a healthy work-life balance with approximately 30-32 hours each week.

In this specialized role, your expertise will empower a student with complex medical needs. You’ll provide vital care throughout the school day and accompany the student during transportation, ensuring safety and comfort from bus pick-up to drop-off.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license required for school nursing
• Prior experience delivering school-based healthcare services preferred
• Background in asthma management and emergency response
• Demonstrated proficiency with G-tube feedings and catheter care
• Competency in seizure monitoring and intervention
• Comfortable with diapering, toileting, and personal care assistance
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a male 7th-grade student during school hours and bus rides
• Monitor and administer prescribed treatments including G-tube feedings and medication
• Respond rapidly to health emergencies such as asthma attacks or seizures
• Offer compassionate support with toileting and hygiene, including diapering
• Maintain accurate records of interventions and report health information appropriately
• Coordinate closely with school staff to foster a safe, inclusive environment
